Fighting Food Insecurity: Partnering with Isaiah House for Health Equity

The Health Disparities Initiative of Take Lead demonstrated an exceptional commitment to addressing the critical issue of food insecurity through our impactful community service solution. The initiative chose to support Isaiah House, an organization situated in East Orange, NJ that provides essential resources to those in need, primarily focusing on offering food assistance to vulnerable people facing food insecurity.

Through our double good popcorn fundraiser, the Health Disparities initiative raised an impressive $1,262, with $630 of the proceeds going towards Isaiah House.

The initiative's decision to support Isaiah House reflects our deep understanding of the pressing health and social issues at hand. By raising funds and directly contributing to Isaiah House's efforts, the Health Disparities initiative has exemplified the core values of Take Lead - empathy, leadership, and a commitment to fostering positive change within our community.
